My Book Review (whole)

This term Te waka ako were working on a slide that our teachers have gave us, we had to answer questions and write about how we like the book and what happened. The book my reading group had is called HERO. each slide there are different task to complete and had to finish it last week.

For the first slide (PLOT OR STORY LINE) we wrote what happened to our story that we remembered when reading the Beginning, Middle and End.  For the slide (NARRATIVE STRUCTURE) we write about the problems and what the solution was and my favourite slides was
the two Main character slide because I get to make the two character in the book by using Build Your Wild Self and write about the character. For the Favourite moment slide I wrote my favourite of the part of the story and why did i like it. For Opinion map we had to write our opinion on what to good things, bad things and interesting things. The six thinking hats we wrote the information, good things, negative, how he feels, what was creative and what i will do next. Slide 9 Questioning we wrote the questions about the book we want to know and write what we think about the question. For the last slide we wrote the words we don't know in the book and find out what it means and where did we find the meaning.

Novel study

This week we were working on our novel study about our book and my book is called HERO. we needed to answer questions about the book in the slide the teacher gave us and we even got to make our character in our book by using build your wild self, me and my friend had a really fun time doing this.

I found this a bit challenging because some of the words in the book I got confused by them but I was lucky my friend was there to help me

The magic world of crazy science

Today we went to the hall to watch the crazy science show by Richard and Robyn the two scientist. They came to our school and did lots of amazing things with us, when we just came in, they showed us lots of their awesome magic tricks and I was so surprised and amazed to see it and it was one of my favourite part's of the show and the other one is when they made the biggest bubble that I've seen in my whole life, it was big that me and my friends can put our head inside together. I learned that there's some powder called polymer inside the nappies that will make the liquid into solid , so that the nappies won't get too wet. I really enjoyed watching the magical and crazy science show, it was the best show I've seen in my life!😃

Camp

Last week on Tuesday we to went camp and we came back on Friday night, I've learn't lots fun thing during camp. We went to the Mt Ruapehu so I learned how to snowboard I had so much fun and we took many photos, on the trip to there and coming back we had lots stop because if we didn't we will be sitting in the bus for 5 hours. I made a slide about camp and what we did the whole time. I hope you will enjoy to see my slide.

Taekwondo

For the past four weeks we have been doing Taekwondo. We learn kicks and punches , it was hard and tried, we all try our best. The only thing I don't really like is the competition where we have to kick or punch hard and high as you can to win , it was so embarrassing because most people in the class would stare at you. If you use the Taekwondo action outside or didn't finish things in time in the week you will miss the whole lesson. Blog you later.

Maths Building

Last week in maths we did some tent  buildings with only two things, clay and toothpicks, it was hard because sometimes the clay won't stick to the toothpicks but we still did a good job. It was so fun and I really enjoy doing it with my friends, after finish our building, we just take a photo on our Chromebook, and then we have to DESTROY IT! And put all the clay and toothpick back. I hope you like my building.   

Animation

This term we have made a animation, where we made a story using google slide and duplicate the slide and move anything you want it slowly in each slide, it's like making a cartoon by yourself. I really enjoy making my own animations with my own ideas because I can make anything I want and I want to share this with you because I think you are going to enjoy it.

This week in cybersmart we have been making a Thinglink about ourselves and use Befuky to change ourselves look, and what we like to do to introduce ourselves, we did this because we will like to give more information about myself and feel free to leave a comment 😊

I learnt that to introduce ourselves is important because people will know more about you, and by using this app you can make your self looks different.

Last week in our reading group we read a book and we need to answer all the questions about it and when we finish we can make our own dragon, here is my work I completed and I would like to share this with you 😃

Cadbury Factory

This week in reading we have been leaning about Cadbury Factory and write information about it and put it in a Google Drawing, Cadbury Factory is a Factory that makes chocolate , I want to share this with you because I thing it is a interesting information to share, I hope you like it and feel free the leave a comment😊

Moving in

We had finally opened our new classrooms on Monday and room 7, 8 and 9 is going in and I am too so we had assembly outside the  new class, after all, Michael wood came and cut the ribbon and opened our classrooms. And now we are not just one classes we are one big group.  I was so excited when saw the classrooms on Monday and I can’t believe we are going in the class, when I came in the class I feel like I am in a dream then we went to morning tea. Now there are bigger place for us to learn and we can go to different classes, and sometimes we work together with all the classes together and we have different teachers together so we can learn more thing that we haven't learn before. We have the Comfy furniture to sit on but I was unhappy when I hear that we not allowed to wear shoes inside and we can’t eat inside, we have to sit on the deck and it so squishy. It was creative that the colour of all the classrooms was so colourful and the stripes of the carpets, it was so nice and I like the colour, and the button for the light it was so cool, you just press it softly and it will be open. Now we are together so it going to be hard for the teachers so we have to be respectful, we have to listen to all the teacher when they are speaking and ideas from partners, looking after our classroom and furniture.

Today our new Cyber smart Teacher Jared came to our class to set a task for us to complete but first we watched a short video on our chrome book, it was about digital footprint. We worked on our task first we found our favourite blog on Ako Hiko and screenshot it then put it on a link and write who will came and see the blogs, here is my work.

  

Story starter

Room 7 have been doing creative writing. Our teacher Mr Ross has been giving us story starter to finish off every day. I really like this idea because they are all interesting starter, we get to choose our best starter to put on the blog and here is mine. And please feel free to comment.

My famous idol

As a class project last week, we had to make a slide about our favourite team/idol. We had to find facts about the person we were doing. I did Michael Jordan.We had to write the person's name for a title ,write facts about that person and at last we had to write why that person is my favourite or why I choose that person?  Here's what I did.

The story teller

This team Room 7 has been making a movie trailer and for our assembly we find a book that we interesting in and make a story with that book. To make a movie trailer we have doing it in the I pad.  We went in the i movie first we search up for some picture that can put in the story and wort a sort sentences to tell what the story about and this is my Imovie i hope you like it.

My mythical creature

 

This term Room 7 has being making mythical creature made out of clay for the Waikowhai Art show. We worked so hard making them. Firstly we searched for some ideas on Google to help us and then we used play dough to practise these ideas before we used the slimy clay. We then took it off to get fired in the kiln unfortunately my arms fell off.  Then we got to paint our creatures and we made slides to go with it. I hope you like my Mythical creature.
